High Speed Internet

As most of you know we do not have internet at our house. So we are going to the coffee shop. Well today after being told by quest that high speed internet isn't "currently available" I was told today that it never will be available at our address! So......I made a phone call to the cable company and will be getting high speed...drum role....Feb 25! At least that is what I was another 10 days with no internet or tv at home. A lesson in this is...before you move..Check out what services are available and how long it will take to get them!!!!! I know that is sad coming from someone from the generation that can remember when we first got tv, vcrs, cell phones, microwaves, know as Jay told me could read a book...or write a letter:)

Happy Birthday Mark/ Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Birthday, Mark! We love you!!! We don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day because it is Mark's Birthday. But this year with Mark at his first year at U of Idaho...we went out to eat at "Famous Dave's BBQ" in honor of his birthday and Valentine's Day.
We are still in the process of unpacking. Today John tackled the family room and we bought boards and put stuff in the basement of the house.
Still no internet at home...not sure when that will happen so we are still doing the coffee shop or John's work computer after work.

Coffee Shop

We are still waiting to get internet at our house. There is this nice coffee shop alittle way from our house. They have free internet with a purchase of a brainer! Jay and I go for coffee or a smoothie:)
Jay has two days of school under his belt...gone pretty good! School starts at 7:25am so it is an early start each morning...right now he has given me a chance at the computer and is ready to take a nap.
Hopefully we will have internet at home tomorrow...probably dial up but at least internet. It is amazing how much we rely upon it!! Especially to keep in contact with people.
I can get email at - charter doesn't have service in Colorado.
It is a beautiful day, sun shining but cold.

We made it to Colorado....what an adventure! It was extremely hard leaving Phoenix, OR and saying goodbye....I cried for the first 400 miles...We had a caravan of 5 vehicles. Jamie, Norma and Jerrad came over to help pack and help drive. John drove a 26' Budget Truck, Jamie drove John's pickup with a trailer full, Jerrad's pickup full, my van full and Chubby (dog) was with me, Jay drove the Corolla. It was always an adventure when we stopped for gas. We were so tired but had a rest day at my sister's house in New Plymouth, we watched the Super Bowl.
Monday, 2/2/09 we headed out to was a 13 hour day....A friend Dave took over for my brother in John's pickup. Tuesday we unloaded and got stuff moved into the house. Dave and Jerrad were great help. They left on Wed morning after breakfast. Thursday and Friday we spent time looking at two schools. Then spent the weekend trying to decide which one because they both had good things about them.
Monday 2/9/09 we went and got Jay registered into Fruita Monument High School.....He is now a Wildcat instead of a Pirate! He starts tomorrow.
I will update and get pictures soon.
