Jay becomes a Wildcat!

When we got to Grand Junction we started the process of deciding where Jay would attend school he was half way through his sophomore year. (Side note John moved at the same age) We spent 2 days visiting and talking with teacher and counselors. The counselors at both Palisade High School and Fruita Monument High School were great. We decided that Fruita Monument would be the best fit for Jay. This way he could continue with FFA and the ag classes. FMHS is big there are about 1300 kids in 3 grades. The principal approved Jay to attend. We are outside the boundary but since we are in temporary housing and FMHS is the only school with FFA he was allowed to enroll. We have been approved for next year also, in the event that we do not sell/find a house etc with in the next year. We are looking for a house in the Fruita area.Jay is pictured here with his car after school. It takes him about 20 minutes to get to school.
